How many patio heaters can be connected to one power group?

When purchasing a patio heater, it's wise to know how many appliances you can connect to a single circuit (fuse box). This prevents the fuse from blowing or your system from overloading.

How much can a generator handle?

A standard group in the Dutch meter box usually supplies 3,680 watts (3.68 kW) . This is because a group supplies 16 amps at 230 volts:

230 V × 16 A = 3,680 Watts

This means that the total of all devices on one group must remain below 3,680 Watts .

Examples with patio heaters

• Smart Wall-Mounted Heater 2500W | Heatix
  → 2,500 Watt → fits well on one group, but not together with another heavy heater.

• Eurom Golden 2500 Shadow
  → 2,500 Watt → can also be used individually on a group.

• Eurom Golden 2000 Shadow
  → 2,000 Watt → can be used on one group, and possibly together with a lighter heater.

• Heatix Hanging Heater 1500W
  → 1,500 Watt → can be easily combined, for example with a 2,000 Watt model (total 3,500 Watt).

• Eurom Golden 1500 Shadow
  → 1,500 Watt → suitable for placing on the same group with another heater as long as you stay below 3,680 Watts.

Practical tips

• Always calculate the total power before connecting multiple heaters.

• Do not use reels or extension cords unless they are rated for high power and are fully extended.

• Consider a separate power group if you want to use multiple heaters at the same time.
